"Parking is VERY problematic. There is no on-site parking. Their ‘onsite’ parking is several blocks away in a public garage. You will need to roll your suitcase several city blocks and anytime you go out, be prepared to walk back and forth. Getting back from a function and walking through the city at 1am alone was not something I would have willingly signed up for. I will never stay at this hotel for this reason alone. I can see how this would be a huge issue for older people or people with mobility issues. One night of parking cost me $25 and the next was $38. Definitely false advertising or twisting it at the least. Only redeeming factor is the location is great. Lots of restaurants and shops but not enough for me to recommend this spot to anyone. "

"The hotel is always hopping with people by the pool, lobby and restaurant. It has a great energy level. The food is delicious. Many locals eat here. The hotel is clean. Staff is friendly. FREE parking. It is my favorite hotel in St Petersburg."

"I recently stayed at Staybridge Suites St. Petersburg Downtown and had a disappointing experience. Check in was at 4 pm, but when we arrived at 4:10, one of our two rooms was still not ready. No one informed us when it became available, we had to follow up ourselves. The staff overall were rude and unhelpful. One room faced the highway, making it very noisy at night, and the smoke alarm kept beeping. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. The next day, we were told room service required 24 hours notice, which was never mentioned. Even for fresh towels, we had to go collect them ourselves. Parking was limited and inconvenient. Breakfast was very poor, with limited options and low quality. Overall, not a pleasant stay. We will not return and will stick with more reliable brands like Hilton and Marriott."

"Highly recommend. Such a gem! Lovely outdoor sitting areas and an incredible veranda. The rooms are clean and spacious. Wonderful bedding and linens. It was hard leaving!!!"

"Very noisy! The fact that you have to pay $40 a night to stay or park on the street somewhere.. that won't tow you. But Noisy and guests were not held to keeping quite.. going on till 4;30AM. Very disapointing to say the least."

"We loved our view (front of the building, 3rd floor). The hotel is very well situated for museums, shops, and restaurants. There is no refrigerator in the room so no place for leftovers to go. The "continental breakfast" consisted of hard boiled eggs and various breads/bagels, etc, each individually wrapped in plastic, and not much else. No toaster, no juice. The rooftop bar is closed on Mondays and if you get back to the hotel after 9, you must take the outside elevator, walk down an unlit pathway to a door into the floor, find the pad for the passkey in the dark, and enter the building that way. We requested the room be cleaned after our second morning there and, though the beds were made up, the trash wasn't emptied, water was not replaced, and we had to request more toilet paper."
