Terrace Bay Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was very good. We enjoyed the area although we did not have a lakeside room. Doing day trips in the surrounding area gave us an opportunity to see the Bay de Noc beach and Tequamenon State park and the georgeous waterfall that is in that park. We ended up with a handicapped room, which I don't think I requested, but it was nice that my husband did not have to step over the side of a tub to shower. The floor in the shower was a bit slippery so we were very careful when showering. Our room could have used 1 more lamp in the corner by the TV. There was a very useful dresser there but the corner was dark. We would recommend The Terrace to anyone who wants to stay in a place that is unique and a bit upscale and is not a run of the mill chain hotel. The dinners we had at the onsite restaurant were very good and the wait staff was excellent."

"The room was excellent - clean, spacious, very nicely furnished. The location was great, with access to the lake right across the street. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the property is being remodeled, but they've obviously started with the rooms, which are, after all, the most important part. The exterior still needs some work, but that's in progress, along with other big plans for the property."

"We spent one night here on our Lake Michigan circle tour. The property is in excellent condition and was probably built in the 80s (my estimate). Very clean and our room was quiet but the property is located on a busy road so easily accessible but lots of traffic. The site is barely large enough with tight navigation around the building. Larger vehicles and RVs might need to find alternate parking. The on-site restaurant was excellent for breakfast (not included but discount offered as a hotel guest). Good value and great for an overnight but not a destination."

"Owners were very helpful when I had a problem with self checkin. We enjoyed the trail behind the property after a long drive. There is a bit of traffic noise on US 2 , but after around 9:00 it did quiet down. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Thank you!"
