False and Misleading Advertisement

I booked a specific apartment via Hotels.com at The LeMac Nairobi. I was given several specific options via the website for the apartment type. I selected the one I wanted. After payment, I received a confirmation for a different apartment type and class of apartment. I then sent an initial communique via Hotels.com chat facility about the matter. I had a very difficult time in getting a clarification or refund, though I requested it. I was told that I could not be refunded, to which I protested that LeMac “did not” have the product as advertised by Hotels.com and selected by me. Since I did not get any real clarification, I showed up at the property on the day of my rsvp, only to be told they did not receive payment. They asked me to take a lesser apartment – which I refused. I left with all my bags and had to secure a hotel without prior reservation. I do not trust Hotels.com advertisement.
