"For what it is, this is a nice characterful country home stay with strangers. However, it is not what I expected from the description on Expedia. Firstly, from a British perspective, this is not a ‘bed and breakfast’ but a hostel. The booking only includes bed, there is no personal welcome but a text message with access code for the electronic door, and other guests hadn’t received theirs so had to wait a long time for acvess. "A wonderful experience to stay in an authentic old converted nunnery across the street from the world famous abbey and many other sites and a block from the water. Also breakfast was delicious and the beds comfortable. "

"This place is truly amazing; beautiful, quirky, quiet and old in the best possible way. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the room was reasonably warm despite -20 C outside. I could even bring my dog! I’m coming back for sure!"
