For the wedding we stayed at our very first B&B. Howarth House Bed and Breakfast in Fitchburg, Mass. It is a beautiful house built in 1910. The current owners, Sarah and Ryan purchased the house in 2020. The owners were friendly, kind, accommodating and Ryan can sure cook a great breakfast. Sarah presented us with a departing gift of her homemade Blueberry and white chocolate scones. Delicious! The room was comfortable, the location quiet and we will definitely be back. Very comfortable stay for me and my dogs for 5 nights. Excellent breakfast options, very friendly staff, everything you really need for any kind of extended stay. I would stay again if in the area. It felt very easy and convenient, safe and quiet.

My boyfriend and I stayed for Valentine’s Day and upon arriving we were greeted with kindness and 2 glasses of champagne! Check in was perfect. The room was perfect. Definitely one of my favorite hotels for sure. We also ate at my favorite restaurant right 10 steps across the street! We could literally see the entrance right from our room window. It was a beautiful experience here.

The hosts were amazing, and very accommodating to our schedule needs. The rooms provided the perfect blend of historic atmosphere and modern convenience, and Matthew gave us a real feeling of the history of the place with his vast knowledge of the inn and its famous visitors. A perfect base from which to enjoy the beautiful and historic surrounding area.

It was a very nice, clean and quiet hotel. Out back there is a park and ride where clearly people are living out of their cars. Our room was facing that space, so we kept our curtains closed. There were no issues though. Lots of easy access parking and the pool was cozy and clean. Pool does close at 8 though that seemed a bit early for a hotel.
