Eigentlich bin ich immer mehr als zufrieden im Hotel Schieferhof. Wann immer ich in der Nähe bin, übernachte ich hier. Aber dieses Mal war an Nachtruhe nicht zu denken. Die Zimmer zur Straße raus sind einfach zu laut. Die Fenster schlucken zwar den Schall, aber dann ist es zu stickig im Zimmer (wenn man - wie ich - Frischluftfanatiker ist. Auch das Kopfkissen geht besser. Übernachten ohne zu schlafen, ist natürlich blöd. Aber sonst schwöre ich weiter auf das Haus: seine geschmackvolle Einrichtung, das hervorragende Essen und nicht zuletzt das freundliche, immer hilfsbereite Personal.

Besonders übernachten im Thüringer Wald

Ein individuelles Hotel in Thüringen. Das Zimmer war liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Essen schmeckte besonders gut, die Speisekarte könnte etwas umfangreicher gestaltet werden.

Gutes Mittelklassehotel

In der Umgebung sind grundsätzlich nicht so wirklich viele Hotels, da die Region nur begrenzt touristisch erschlossen ist. Das Hotel ist ein Altbau, die Zimmer sind etwas verwickelt, aber gut eingerichtet. Das Bett war allerdings in unserem Zimmer nur 1,6 m breit, war also etwas eng. Alles war sauber und es gab auch einen Raum für Fahrräder. Das Restaurant zum Abendessen war sehr gut.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter in Hotel und Restaurant. Sehr gutes Essen und sehr gutes Frühstück. Trotz Nähe zur Hauptstraße war das Zimmer sehr ruhig mit genügend Platz auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Gute Erreichbarkeit von Wandermöglichkeiten am Rennsteig. Die Gesamtatmosphäre war sehr angenehm.

Schönes Boutiquehotel

Wunderbares Hotel in schönster ländlicher Umgebung mit ausladendem Frühstück. Mir hat es auch wenn der Aufenthalt nur eine Nacht war, außerordentlich gut gefallen. Zimmer sind funktional, aber bei der Natur sollte man sich dort definitiv nicht lang aufhalten :)

Wie im Kurzurlaub

Tolles Hotel, authenthisch weil es typisch für die Region ist, schöne alte Bausubstanz und top in Schuß - man sieht dass es laufend renoviert wurde. Schöne Zimmer, die liebevoll und mit Geschmack dekoriert sind - wie übrigens das ganze Haus. Restaurant top, Küche und Service hervorragend, und das zu einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr zu empfehlen!
