I loved many things about the New Hope Lodge, including its vintage appeal, the remarkably comfortable bed and pillows, and some quirky, one-of-a-kind details. I enjoyed the bathroom tile and the rustic paneling I found in my room - mostly due to the fact that, here, something older was preserved and spruced up rather than gutted and remodeled. They do have some work to do, though: like putting a mattress pad on that cozy bed, reducing the amount of light that pours through the windows from the porch lamps when people are trying to sleep, and cleaning up the outdoor spaces. My view would have been a little picturesque, but was tangled by a rusted, discarded pool ladder and other debris.
This place has a TON of potential, and I hope it is fully recognized.
