The view was spectacular because the hotel is on top of a mountain, so we had a wonderful sleep. There’s limited dining places in walking distance. The breakfast was good. The issue here is that it’s a work in progress. They are still building and ironing out the details.

An inexpensive hotel for through travellers
The hotel is located in a largely residential neighbourhood in the hills above the Var. It is quiet, clean and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. Reception was quick, friendly and efficient. Rooms are good, with a small balcony. Bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are a bit dates and be refreshed. There is a very good restaurant 1 minute walk away.

Good place to stay
Located in the middle of nowhere, with 2 close by restaurants. But high up, so was able to see the Bastille Day fireworks. Nice staff and air con was much needed.

Waste of money!
I arrived early and they allowed me to check on early which was great. On arriving at my room, The door had been left wide open so anyone could have walked in ( which as a young female on my own I found worrying) checking out the room I found a stain on bedding and the room was very basic! No Tea and coffee facilities, no iron etc! I paid for breakfast but felt it was extremely basic and not worth the price! If I’d known that was the selection I would have just gone to the local shop! The staff were friendly which was nice but the last straw was the WIFI which was completely RUBBISH and kept cutting out continuously was annoying so had to waste my own data just to do simple things like arrange an Uber! Wouldn’t recommend or stay again!

It's far away from the city, at top of a mountain. We arrived after dark and wondering many times if we were on a wrong way, because nothing suggested there could be a hotel there. 1. Location: terrible 2. Quietness: the location of the hotel is quiet. 3. Quietness in room: bad sound proofing, you can hear your next door is brushing teeth 4. Bed: not comfortable 5. Bath: hot water flows in dribbles

This hotel is further away from main road that map suggests, check-in was ok, room condition was poor with peeling wall paper, plaster falling from ceiling. A 3 person room consisted of a double bed + sofabed this was not clear on booking. Overcharged for breakfast despite confirming at check-in that we were 1 adult + 2 under 12's. No bar or restaurant. There are better options nearer to the main road. Continental breakfast was ok.

Nice hotel overall
The hotel was a bit out of the way, but overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I found the room a bit smaller than other standard double hotel rooms I've been in, but it was good enough for our short stay. It is a bit far from restaurants, shops, etc.

Kitchenette with no kettle, cup, knife, fork, plate. So what's the point!! Middle of no where. One restaurant which is half a mile and no other for a 30 minute drive.

A bit far from Nice, but great uphill drive.
Room was a bit small, there was not enough closet space. Hallways had a cheap hotel feel (off-putting blue walls, dark grey flooring, dim lighting). Bathtub needed re-glazing. No utensils, cups or glasses provided in a kitchenette. Someone had a comment that it was scary to drive to the hotel after dark. I totally disagree. Please remember, we Americans are used to steer (not drive) in US. You must DRIVE in Europe. So stay off the left lane if not passing and enjoy the experience!

Very small room but was clean. Balcony okay size. Great location if you don't mind a drive through the hills. 5miles from Nice centre. Lots of little local restaurants around and supermarket just a minute walk away.

Had a decent stay, room service and management were very helpful and efficient. The location is halfway between Cannes and Nice, good view and cute balcony. However, no tea/coffee making facility and room were crammed.

high mountain view 25 mins from the beach
the uphill drive seemed like forever, but downhill drive to Nice airport was about 25 mins we were regretting the drive until we around at the high hilltop site with sweeping views of the Var valley and mountains a little more expensive than most hotels we stayed at - but a lovely treat for our last night in France

Quiet hotel in the hills
This was a last min booking to break up the trip from Barcelona to Rome. We weren't expecting a great deal but was pleasantly surprised, outside of Nice high in the hills we were greeted by what looked a dated hotel, it was clean and they had updated the interiors and was bright clean and comfy. Our room offered a good bed, lovely bathroom and even a table and chairs and small kitchenette (My partner was taken with the closet automatic light)and a charming balcony that had a table and 2 chairs which after a 7 hour drive provided us with late afternoon sun while we drank wine and relaxed. The hotel was quiet even with other guests and we had a great nights sleep and the shower next morning was the most powerful I've had in Europe. We stayed for breakfast that was plentiful and fresh, including real coffee, a godsend for me. The staff were helpful and pleasant and most importantly spoke English as my school French is poor. Thankyou for a delightful stay hope to visit again soon

FAR AWAY FROM MONACO
We needed free parking, free baby crib and good price but there was so many bad things that next time we will definitely spend the money and stay somewhere else. This is no place to stay if you need a crib or play pen because rooms are super small. Bathroom was leaking water. My husband had to go to the storage room to look for a playpen because apparently our reservation said nothing about our request for a crib. Breakfast area was not clean at all. And location is so far away from Monaco. Stay here only if you can't afford to stay somewhere else. On the good side the hotel have a nice view.

It's up on a hill
This hotel is about 20 minutes drive from the airport. That is 20 minutes of turns and twists up the mountain though. The hotel is in a very quiet, perfect place for a good night sleep. The room was a little small but modern, and had a balcony which faced wooded area behind the property. The room was quiet, and the internet was blazing fast. We went to dine at a place recommended by the hotel located at the center of La Gaude — and this restaurant was amazing. We spent one night only, we had a rental car and had a flight next morning, so we got exactly what we expected if not a little more.

Honeymoon escape
The hotel seems as though it was great in its day. It seems that it has not invested in improvements in the hotel in many years. The lock on our balcony door was broken. The area around was not in Nice as is indicated. We felt safe it just seemed to be somewhat rural area. The desk gave us a dinner suggestion that was awesome. It was a a restaurant that was a little pricy, and well worth it.

The airconditioner was ok. It wasn't cold but cool and was good enough. Breakfast was good. Could have a better selection but I didn't go hungry. Carpets were not in great shape. It was not in a great shape for the Hotel at all. It was worn down and needs allot of updates. We still enjoyed our stay but would have been more comforter.

Major complaints: Noise and check in!!! We had notified them that we would be checking in late at night and the website says 24/7 reception desk, but that is a lie! Luckily we had just bought a French SIM card for our cell phone otherwise we'd have been out of luck. The call box outside does not connection you to the front desk or anyone that can help you. When we called from our cell they gave us the access code to get in the hotel and our room information and key were on top of the desk in front. It was easy, but if you don't have a cell phone you're in trouble. The other thing was the incredibly loud swinging doors. The doors in the hotel have no slow down mechanism, so they're constantly slamming at all hours. The nonsmoking and smoking section are divided by a little swinging door that people are incapable of gently closing. We also heard crying babies. Thin walls, very noisy. Cleanliness: Not spotless, but clean enough. No funny smells nor big stains. Towels had to be replaced. Quality of service: Friendly and helpful. Apologetic in the morning Amenities: The wifi wasn't working properly, but they said they had it. Phone, tv, shelves, closet, possibility of extra towels and pillows, elevator, nonsmoking section (although smelled a bit). Location: Pretty placed on top of the hills. Nice balcony to enjoy it from. Very quiet area and a bit trecherous to drive to at night. Dark and windy roads. A bit far from town.

Great location in the hills over the Var valley
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. Room was a bit small and one light bulb was out but very clean and housekeeping staff was great. Location is awesome: this hotel in at La Gaude, a little village perched on a hill right next to Nice (and home to one of IBM's european research centers). You can get to anywhere in Nice withing 20-30 mins by driving down the hill and taking either the "voie rapide" or the freeway thru the hill. Sea shore is 10 mins away. Advantages: silence, fresh air, beautiful view. I will go back to this place. And, oh yes, it's cheap!!!

Hotel staff are wonderful, very helpful and kind. Clean and comfortable, having a car was a good idea. Driving distance to several nice villages and a reasonable driving distance to Nice, Cannes, and other coastal towns.

Up in the mountains..
A clean and comfortable hotel up in the mountains.. The drive time from the beach is about 25 minutes. The views from the balcony are absolutely beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by a very nice residential area with big homes and IBM has a head quarter about 2 minutes away. Overall, I recommend this hotel as a perfect "getaway" and to be part of nature and the mountains. The rooms are small but functional. Comfy bed and a nice hot shower.. If you continue driving up the mountain is St. Jeanne which has a small village. Probably best to park the car and walk around. I drove inside the tight roads and barely got my rental car out.. All part of the experience..
