A friendly, small hotel in a great location in the lovely village of Vence. The air conditioning worked well. Breakfast is worth eating in the nearby bakeries and cafes. The village has fantastic, affordable food. The village/hotel is relatively easy to get to by train and bus.

Review of stay

The hotel was very accommodating to us and our luggage allowing us to check in early. The staff are really friendly and polite. The location is right in the heart of the town. I would highly recommend.

The hotel was located conveniently in the middle of Vence, and although it was sorrounded by restaurants and bars, the noise was not a problem. However beware that there is a flight of stairs with no elevator up to the first floor. The thing that really was disappointing was that the bed spread and pillows were dirty. It did made me not trust the overall cleaning.

I booked a very last-minute trip to Saint Paul de Vence for business. Hotel La Victoire was one of the few hotels with a room available for the night. The staff was friendly and accommodating to my requests. The ambiance was excellent as well.

For a small and affordable hotel, La Victoire is excellent for its price. The staff are helpful and kind and the rooms are decent for what you're going to pay. Furthermore, Vence is wonderful to explore for tourists and you can easily get to Nice with just one bus line.

We were very happy saying at this lovely little hotel. We just stayed one night but you cannot beat the convenience; it is sensitive situated right off the main square in downtown. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Douglas, were very polite and hospitable. The room rate was very affordable. We're happy to recommend this hotel to anyone searching for budget accommodations in Vence.

We just needed a hotel for 1 night centrally located close to the old town of Vence. Hotel La Victoire was convenient but not for longer stay as bedroom and bathroom are too small. Had a wonderful stay though and fried ly staff.

Perfect location if you want to be in the middle or everything. Wonderful restaurants and boulangeries literally on the doorsteps of this hotel. Wonderful farmers market on the weekend and also music festivals in the park during the summer. Parking offsite isn’t bad either. There’s a lot within walking distance. The underground parking they suggest is a little scary if you have a bigger car. Not a fancy hotel, but if you want a clean place and to experience Vence, this is the place to stay. Reasonably priced for the location for sure! I would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at this place and had a mixed experience. Overall, the hotel was okay, but there were a few things worth mentioning. Upon arrival, I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs to reach a certain level before I could use a small elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. The staff, however, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made the stay more pleasant. One downside is that the hotel is somewhat far from the airport, the city, and the beach, so you’ll need to arrange transportation for getting around. The mattress in my room was quite hard and not very comfortable compared to other places I've stayed. The shower was also very small, with shower curtains that tended to stick to you, which was a bit annoying. Despite these minor inconveniences, the warmth and hospitality of the city and its people made up for the less satisfying aspects of the hotel. The friendliness of the staff and the overall atmosphere really helped to overshadow the small discomforts.
