"The room was very large and had 2 floors, which we can choose either to sleep on normal single bed or futon. It also had two restrooms which was good if you travel with the group. The hotel served us simple breakfast with breads, veggie soup, juices & coffee at the room which was very nice although it was a bit too much for us. A few cons here would be the location of each room which is uphill and it wasn't pleasant to drag all heavy luggage to the room while check out time was a bit too early...

"Staff were exceptionally helpful. Took our luggage up the stairs and were waiting for us when we arrived. Welcomed warmly by the manager and once checked in felt like home away from home! We didn’t do kayaking but available if you intend to do so. Private baths or outside baths available which we took advantage of. Possibly for some guests may find the property a bit older but was adequate for what we wanted. View you get makes up for it. I’d certainly return to this place if I’m ever in Fuji-san area again. "

"We drove to Hoshinoya Fuji, as it was dark, the entry towards the check-in area is very easy to missed, suggest to have more road sign leading towards the resort. Once we checked in, there is a car to pick us up to our room up the mountain. The view of Fuji is stunning, if you are lucky enough to see it. Room and breakfast service are great, and so are the amenities in the resort. Booking for activities got to be done by 6pm the day before (no exception can be made). Was really interested in the morning kayak, however they need at least a minimum of 2 guests to be able to join which is a pity, as i was travelling with elderly, none of them wanted to do it. Suggest the hotel could instead help to match up the guest joining the activitiy, so more people that do not come in a pair can join as well. Overall a great once in the lifetime experience. cannot really beat waking up at 5am with Mount Fuji right in front of it. Stunning!"

"Got there a bit later than expected but my time there was nice the breakfast preparation was super nice and option to rent a bike for a whole day and little souvenir shops around with good food places made me wish I had gotten there sooner, def would go back to hopefully see the mountains better since it rained bad when I went."
