Insects morts..
Restaurant bon et petit-déjeuner bon.
Excellent service from the staff. A very old building, which has been recently renovated. Both dinner and breakfast were very good and the staff was very accommodating.
Had a great stay at Le Manoir du Rodoir. The staff were very welcoming. This is a character hotel, with a river running next to it. We had a room overlooking the river and the woods, very quiet and peaceful so slept well. The food at the restaurant was just excellent. The room had been upgraded, however, the bathroom is in a different era and probably in the process of being upgraded also? (not sure if this is the case with the other rooms?)
Would recommend staying here.

Freindly Hotel
The hotel was in a pretty spot and offered good facilities, though my stay was only for one night so I did not use any of the facilities offered. The room was well presented, if in need of a little repair in certain areas. A short walk (about 15 mins) from the town.
Le Manoir du Rodoir is a lovely hotel, not as old as it looks (it dates from 1886) but it meets all the criteria for a classic French country house. The rooms are large, the bar and restaurant comfortable and while the menu is a little limited, the food was of a high quality. There is also a breakfast room (and presumablly used as an extension to the restaurant when needed) which is really attractive and overlooks a small lake in a valley behind the hotel. The staff were most pleasant and helpful although their English was limited, there were few commmunication problems.
Our only complaint, and it's a monir one, is that the hotel is not actually in Nivillac but some way outside the town, on the road to La Roche-Bernard which caused us a few problems. However, thanks to a helpful lady who drove her car to where the hotel is situated whilst we followed, the slight inconvenience was alleviated by the peacefulness of the setting and the attractiveness of the hotel. If we'd had a sat-nav, then there wouldn't have been a problem!
Superbe hôtel en pleine nature.
Chambre propre et spacieuse. Piscine chauffée.
Personnel très accueillant (hôtel et restaurant).
Très bon dîner au restaurant et petit déjeuner buffet.
We arrived on Sunday and Monday was a public holiday. Restaurant and bar closed on both days. No tea/coffee making facilities in room so couldn't even make a drink.
Receptionist unable or unwilling to communicate in English
Personnel très agréable, joli lieu, chambre impeccable, et repas sans critique (diner, déjeuner et petit déjeuner)
En résumé, à recommandé chaudement : le rapport qualité prix est exemplaire.
Clean comfortable and welcoming. Will definitely be returning in March. Hotel quiet and plenty of parking. Food excellent and restaurant modern but with lots of character
