"We had a great time even though the weather was the worst we have ever been in. Wind and rain. We didn’t even walk around the town cause it was blowing a gale. The next morning the sun was shining so huge relief but we needed to keep travelling. From what we saw we hope to be back. Looks like a beautiful town. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Carnmore Hotel Takapuna, it was very clean and made a great base for exploring the Auckland area as it was so close to the beach and local shops and only a 5 min drive to the Devonport Ferry terminal where you can take a fun short ferry trip to downtown Auckland. The only issue was that the internet dropped in and out quite a bit, otherwise it was flawless! "

"it was nice. great value for money. i was a little disappointed that i didnt see any alpacas. the encloure seems to be a carpark now. i didnt search very far, so they may living happily just round the corner. but probably not. "

"This is a quiet gem of a place. We stayed 5 nights in a suite with a kitchen and deck overlooking the harbour. Easy access to the Auckland harbour ferry. 10 minutes to the viaduct. "

"The AC broke down after check-in. And then there is no staff after 9pm. It was a bit hot, but that was okay.. I told this problem to reception when checking out. Overall, that's fine. Thank you."
