"This is not an hotel, but rather a bed and breakfast - a very nice one!!!! Rooms are very nice, nicely decorated but a bit awkward configuration. Includes a private small pool and a big breakfast! The best thing it’s the concierge 24/7 service. People and staff are always looking into how to make your stay better!!! They are great!! Quite new and taxis may note yet know where it is, but easily found in maps."

"This stay was absolutely sublime. Located peacefully in the heart of the mountains where you can see parts of the Great Wall, it’s the perfect base camp for those wishing to tackle one of the wonders of the world! Host Andrew and his wife were phenomenal in their hospitality. Super responsive from the moment the booking was made. We had originally booked a two-bedded room for three travellers (2 men & woman) and upon Andrew realising the make up of our group, he allowed us to have an additional...

Sunworld Hotel Beijing Wangfujing

Sunworld Hotel Beijing Wangfujing

8/10 Good
"The room was clean, and the staff were generally friendly and accommodating. However, several issues affected our overall experience. During our three-night stay, there was construction work directly in front of the hotel that continued throughout the night, making it difficult to get a good night’s rest. Our room was also located next to the elevators, so we frequently heard guests talking and passing by while waiting for the elevators. Housekeeping service could also be improved. When we ran out of the two complimentary tea packets and requested a refill, we had to call three times before they were delivered. Another inconvenience was the hair dryer, which stopped working on our second day. We ended up purchasing our own replacement. Interestingly, our friends staying in another room experienced the same issue, but the hotel provided them with a different model that worked very well. It would have been helpful if the hotel had offered us the same solution. The laundry facilities were also insufficient for the number of guests. With only three washing machines available, we had to wait until midnight to do our laundry. On the second day, there must have been some issue with sewage, the whole lobby and the fromt smelled very stongely of sewage. Overall, while we appreciated the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff, the noise, maintenance issues, limited laundry facilities, and inconsistent service made our stay less comfortable than expected.
