Best Western Plus Ticonderoga Inn & Suites
8/10 Good
"Very nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice swimming pool. We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights, and the hotel is not cheap, so I was taken a little aback that there as no.maid service on Sunday - no new towels and such. We wanted coffee pods for the next morning, and that took us a while to hunt down. Other than that, a great base for exploring Fort Ticonderoga!"

Lodge at Schroon Lake

"Beautiful, casual, well maintained property that was clean and had fun things to do. We’ll definitely come back."

Silver Bay YMCA Inn and Conference Center

"Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the tour I received from the cart driver (I totaly forgot her name, but I do remember she met her husband there and has been volunteering there for many years) She has a passion for the place and after the tour I could see why. Grounds had everything you would need to make your overnight stay or week long stay memorable and relaxing. I was able to fish off the dock, watch the young adults play home run derby on the ball field and enjoy a great dinner at the restaurant. Was a little concerned about no TV and no AC in the room. Room was a little hot during the day, but with everything there is to do, why stay inside. Night time, I put the fan in the window, turned the ceiling fan on and slept like a baby. I was only there for 1 night, but would go back again. Maybe next time for a little longer."

Brandon Inn

"The food at the hotel was great. Very friendly staff. Pool was great. Very old. Floors were a bit creaky. The bathroom was okay. The bathtub was very old fashioned. Be careful when getting out. It is dangerous, I almost tripped. Warning the bathtub is very steep. The cold water knob was loose so they had to fix it in the bathtub. That was the only downside. Overall the hotel was a great stay. Very peaceful. Breakfast not the greatest. Go to Mae's place, right outside near the hotel. That place has eggs, bacon, waffle, french toast, pancakes. The good breakfast you want with fresh Vermont pure maple syrup. A few doors down there is a gourmet place where you can get great coffee. There chai latte is great. The pizza is amazing. The food in Vermont is not very salty compared to NYC. I enjoyed my stay for sure and I had stayed an extra day. Would definitely go back. Just wish the bathtub and shower were more modern. Overall the hotel is beautiful and well maintained."

Maple Leaf Motel

"Was like going back in time, had a feel of a bygone day of 50s or 60s. Nice and quaint. Nice very to have oatmeal and coffee available for breakfast."

Emrose Luxury Cabins

"I don’t like to give bad reviews because the place was GREAT. However….. There was no one around to check in. Which would be fine if there was a way to communicate. No messaging system, or email with instructions. (Stayed at contactless places before with great results) Called phone numbers listed on 2 different sites with no answer. Found someone working on the grounds, one of which spoke no english, be we were finally able to get the room key that way. Could use an ice machine, a way to contact any staff, and maybe instructions to some of the cool features."

Middlebury Inn

"Very nice property and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Their restaurant was quite good with reasonably priced options and drinks. We sat outside on the deck, which was great. Room was very nice and bed was comfortable. Could use extra sleeping pillows. The bathroom could be upgraded - but it IS an old inn. Staff were all excellent and very helpful!"

Chateau Rooms

"The property is certainly unique, but you have to know certain things before booking. It’s run more like an Air abnb than a hotel. There’s no formal check-in or check-out process. If you arrive before 5 PM the restaurant will be closed and there will be no one to assist you or answer any questions. There are only three rooms total and they’re all located upstairs above the restaurant. If you can’t get your own bags up the outdoor staircase this may not be the place for you. An access code gets you into the vestibule that houses the three rooms. There’s a funky key system for the rooms as well. All that being said it’s a hidden oasis down a dirt path smack in the middle of Bolton Landing. The room we had was spacious and well appointed, as was the bathroom with huge walk-in shower. Excellent water pressure as well, always a welcome treat. Although there are more dramatic views of the mountains and the lake from other vantage points, it feels very serene and tucked away. An added treat is the restaurant Chateau on the Lake. Fine dining with wonderful food, wine list, ambiance and staff—without the stuffiness."
