“We liked most things about this hotel. Nice view of the Sacramento River. Easy walk to Old Town Sacramento. Clean room. Very nice shower. Did not care much for the Pilothouse, the on site restaurant. Way overpriced for very plain breakfast. Bland eggs Benedict for $25 and $15 for a bowl of oatmeal that was nothing special. We will return to the hotel, though, for the beautiful and quaint accommodations and location. Just not the restaurant.”

“The care the staff show makes a difference. I was asked what brought us to town and I told them I was here celebrating my birthday. The receptionist excused herself and came back shortly saying that they would like to upgrade us to a suite for my birthday! That was such a nice thing to do, and they've earned a customer for life. The area itself is NOT safe, do not come here alone and if you do BRING A DOG. The attendees are doing drugs in the parking lot, fighting with each other, and I watched a dude take a fat crap in the Chevron parking lot across the street while his partner cheered him on (won’t lie, I laughed).
