"This property exceeded our expectations! It is so conveniently located to the heart of Traverse City, but just on the outskirts enough to be quiet and feel a little more private. The finishes and decor are beautiful! The space is fantastic and the five of us were very comfortable. We were able to make ourselves right at home and really enjoyed our stay. "The place does not feel like a luxury resort. It appears to be an old building that’s undergone some renovations to give the allure of a luxury resort. I was unhappy with the stains on the bedding and how THIN the walls were connected to my room. I could hear everything my neighbors said speaking at a normal rate."

"We recently stayed at The Inn on Mackinac and overall had a pleasant experience. The property itself is beautiful and has a unique charm that really fits the character of Mackinac Island. One of the biggest advantages is the location—it’s close enough to downtown and Main Street to easily walk to shops, restaurants, and attractions while still feeling a bit removed from the busiest areas. Some of our favorite features were the lovely second-floor front porch, which was a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, and the excellent luggage porter service, which made arrival and departure much easier. Housekeeping also did a great job and cleaned our room daily, which we appreciated. There were a few drawbacks. The inn could be quite noisy at times, and we found both the bed and pillows to be uncomfortable, which affected the quality of our sleep. We also would have appreciated having access to a water station or water machine, but if one existed, we were never made aware of it. Additionally, having a small mini fridge and microwave in the room would have made our stay more convenient, especially for storing drinks, snacks, or leftovers. Overall, The Inn on Mackinac offers a charming island experience with a great location and friendly service. While there are a few areas that could be improved, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the inn’s historic character."

"For the price I paid, I was worried that it was going to be run down. I was so very impressed with the clean and spacious rooms, my balcony with the beach view, not just free breakfast, but a choice of breakfast daily and they bring it to your room at the time selected. Pool and Hot Tube were very well maintained. The arcade room was great for my son. All of the staff was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I even received texts for every day I stayed there making sure everything was going well and when you text the number, they reply right back. During my stay, I have booked more vacations with this hotel."
