โMy husband and I loved the retro room. It was clean, quiet and you have parking spot designated for your room which makes it super easy to carry your bags in to your room as it's right in front of it.
The owner is so very kind and even made things right as my husband I messed up on the check in day when we booked ( it was for the next day ) and she took care of it and even gave me a pair of ear plus as I forgot to pack mine.
Can't say enough about this motel from 1959... Cute rooms, cute...

โAlways enjoy our visit to Santa Fe and Hotel Chimayo has become part of our annual tradition. Aside from its proximity to the Plaza, the hotel has continued to be comfortable and welcoming for us and our dog. Many thanks to the friendly staff for making our visit awesome once again. โ
โOf course the location, service, amenities and food are excellent. One of the most special stays we have had across America. Oddly, the 4 staff at checkin were not very friendlyโฆproficient, but not warm or welcoming, while all the waiters and waitresses in the dining room and bar were very happy and jovial. The maid was even more personable. Sitting in the lobby people watching is a fun way to relax, and I noticed the front staff a bit dry with everyone. It didnโt affect our stay, but it was...
โThought the hotel was really quirky and cool. Loved the room, very clean and decor was cool. Breakfast excellent, had something for everyone. Reception was easy and friendly. Garden area around back lovely and relaxing. Safe compound for parking.
Only downside as a non pet owner is I would like to see separate rooms for owners of pets. Also paying for fruit juice $4 per glass not good.โ
