“We loved the remoteness of it, and the friendliness of the lady who served us dinner and breakfast. This is not like a stay in the more touristy parts of Costa Rica like La Fortuna or Monteverde. This is off the beaten path. Its not as close to the Rincon de la Vieja park as we originally thought (1h30 drive time on poor quality roads, in theory there was a straighter distance road but we didn't trust our rental AWD Rav4 would be able to get there).”

The pool could use a little updating, but the property is under new ownership and they are renovating everything. When we got there we were told they were giving us a free tour at the hanging bridges… we’ve been to La Fortuna many times, but had never done this activity. This is a DO NOT MISS location!
