“Everything about this hotel is to be recommended. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable. We had an excellent sleep after a long flight. The shuttle bus from the airport was easy to find and runs until the last KLM flight arrives. The hotel also runs a shuttle every 30 mins to the V&A Waterfront, costing 150ZAR. All the saff were very friendly and helpful. There was a wide choice of hot and cold food for breakfast.”

“I only stayed one night but I will definitely return for longer stays. The owner-manager could not have been kinder or more helpful as I was there for doctors' office visits at the Panorama Medicentre, a short walkable 1 km away. The bed and one bedroom suite were the most comfortable I have stayed in for quite sometime. The breakfast (included) was homemade eggs, bacon, toast and they even had decaf coffee for me. I love Paperbark Manor and will come again.”

Apenas não conseguimos usar o restaurante para jantar pois ele necessita de reserva no café da manhã, mas não estavamos lá neste horário. Não gostei dessa política. No mais a estadia foi boa. “Hawksmoor House ist ein klassisches, 300 Jahre altes Capholländisches Bauerngehöft. Wir waren zuerst im Herrenhaus untergebracht, dann in einem Nachbargebäude. Beide Zimmer waren ausserordentlich schön. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Zu bemängeln gab es nichts. Allerdings sollten Reisende wissen, dass die Anfahrt über einen unbefestigten Weg erfolgt. Wifi gibt es nur im Herrenhaus. Nach einer Corona-Pause könnte hie und da die Fassade frisch gestrichen werden. Aber dies sind wirklich winzige...

“The room was large and nicely furnished. The provided washer and dryer were an excellent bonus. It was a bit of a drive into Capetown, but having a farm store on site, alpacas and donkeys right outside our cottage and being able to see table mountain from the property were nice touches. The atmosphere was quiet and safe and the staff were friendly.”

The whole property is absolutely amazing and it's far more than just a hotel - the experiences offered from the meals to the wine tasting to the runner duck watching (has to be seen to be believed) are fantastic and they set the bar for the rest of our time in South Africa very high indeed.”
