Single room very cosy and clean. Restaurant excellent, the pie was superb!
Room was comfortable and the bathroom was lush especially the bath 😀
The staff were very friendly
The breakfast was tasty and catered for my husbands love of fried bread
An all round great stay, would definitely come again and recommend
A lovely character pub with great service.
The food was delicious and good value for money.
We stayed the night in the Tilney room.
Beautiful decor, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, great wardrobe space. Highly recommended and definitely stay again.
Staff were all friendly, considerate and helpful. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The room was as described and the bed was comfortable. The King’s Head is ideally situated for exploring Norfolk. We hope to return.
We stayed for an event at UEA and the location was perfect for this. Setting was beautiful in a small village with a river running through -great for an evening stroll. Our bedroom was very very close to the road which becomes a commuter cut through in the mornings. This did lead to some unwelcome traffic noise from around 530am.
Location was really lovely.!!!! I had large single room which was extremely cramped.....would have preferred a smaller bed and more room to move about and hang clothes. Bathroom spotless but slight level change that I tripped over a few times. Also would have preferred a normal kettle with larger cup instead of tiny little cup with fancy coffee machine. Weather was very hot and room was provided with a fan.. I would definitely stay again but next time in bigger room.
We had a good sized apartment which had cooking facilities and a fridge. The bed was really big and comfortable.
No issues apart from the fact that they weren’t open on Monday.
The bathroom sink was too small and the overhanging cupboard made it difficult to avoid hitting your head when washing your face!
Getting the shower temperature right was a challenge and disappointing that it was in the slippery bath and not separate.
Staff we met at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good though expensive with extra charge for coffee/ tea and marmalade!
A great one night stay! We didn't venture outside of the hotel much but it was really nice having our own external front door. The room was amazing with a lovely bathroom. One thing to note... No radiator in the bathroom, just a heated towel rail. So the bathroom was cold. But plenty of radiators in the rest of the room. We were also lacking a kettle in the room and found the coffee machine a bit of a faff to use. Oh... And the smallest TV in the world. Made watching 1% Club almost impossible 😂 but still a lovely comfortable room.
Hotel was fantastic. Anton and his team really looked after us and made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was amazing with all of the exposed beams, boutique feel and a lovely roll top bath. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in and around Norwich. The restaurant is worth a visit even if you don't stay for the night.
Very clean nicely appointed room with a unique beamed ensuite.
Our room wasn't automatically serviced after the first night so had to ask for a fresh towel and for coffee machine supplies to be replenished for the next day.

We stayed for 2 nights, Fri-Sun. Located in a lovely peaceful area and an easy route into Norwich. There is a lovely pub on site, we had a couple of drinks and the staff were really friendly. We didnt eat as had other plans but the food looked great- will definitely make plans for breakfast next time! The room itself was great, decorated exceptionally, fantastic bath and shower with perfect pressure/temperature. The bed and linen were extremely comfortable, and being someone who doesnt sleep great away from home, I had a perfect nights sleep- the blinds are also blackout. Nearby there is a little river and a very quiet village- we didnt hear a peep after lights out
The room (Walston) was fantastic. The bar and restaurant were equally as good and the food really good with very generous portions. The most spectacular thing about the King's Head though were the staff! So friendly and accommodating and incredibly helpful. Really recommend this hotel
