Room and the all hotel is so old. And not maintained well. From room door to windows are not functioning as they should be. No nets at the windows so the insects are welcomed to the rooms. Staff is very friendly but the resort needs for a renewal. We won’t go back again.

This was a very rural and quiet place. I had no idea where we were going. The view was breath taking. The staff were great and the customer service was great. There is one restaurant and everything closed at 9:00pm. They had a pool but the location of the resort is steps from the beach. If you want rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. Definitely not walkable. Getting here was a challenge but my husband and I loved it.

Ok but a bit worn down

A bit worn down. The employees don’t speak English so don’t expect any support or guidance to get to the hotel or move around the island. It’s also far from “the main area” which we realised is further south on the island (40mins by foot from the hotel). Would recommend choosing another hotel if you want to have a bigger choice of restaurants and a little shop nearby. The breakfast was a bit boring but their restaurant had good food and it was nice to eat on the beach in the evening. The employees in the restaurant were nice.

Perfect low key island to escape the crowds

Great little resort nestled away down a dirt track on this quiet island. Perfect to escape the crowds and make time to explore the rest of the island to experience how most of Thailand was 25 years ago. Dinner on the beach every night was great. Staff very friendly and kept the place clean and tidy. Bungalows getting a bit tired in places but added to the charm. Ours had fantastic sea views towards Phi Phi. The whole place had a very natural feel with a few friendly monkeys keeping you company. I would recommend cocktails at sunset a short walk up the beach at Onlee Bungalows. Not a great snorkelling beach but we kayaked down the island where it was a bit better but don’t compare with the other islands. Hiked up Mount Pu with Ann the local mountain guide. Easy enough to do by yourself if you know the start point and can find your way through the rubber plantations but nice to support the islanders and they provided water, lunch and coffee at the top! You meet lots of travellers who come back to Ko Jum regularly where you can still get away from the hoardes of people on the more popular islands. A short picturesque long tail boat ride from Laem Kraut pier on the mainland and about 30 - 40 mins from Krabi airport so very easy to get to. Hopefully the big 5 star resorts who are looking to develop on the island never do.

A serene, quiet, peaceful slice of paradise off the beaten path! The perfect place to escape crowds, the beach is gorgeous and most of the time we had it all to ourselves! The only noise was the cicadas and the occasional monkey dropping onto our roof 😀! We loved it here, it was heaven!

Not as advertised

Arrived and not as advertised. Very remote, very run down - rubbish everywhere, discarded freezers and generally rundown and dirty. Only place to eat is at the hotel restaurant. Food ok, breakfast not good. Bed was like a piece of wood and bedding and towels had stains on. No hot water. We left after one night and got a water taxi to Ao Nang.

This is not the place for people who are accustomed to first class hotels or who like to take cruises where most everything is provided. In particular, it is not for people who are accustomed to complaining when things are imperfect (ants, a mediocre breakfast, etc.). Thai natives do not tolerate confrontation; they are the sweetest, most loving people in the world, and will worry endlessly about one's welfare. But one needs to keep in mind that this and the other resorts on this secluded strip of beach were left without any income during the previous 2 and 1/2 years of Covid. They are now scratching out a living, and doing it with grace and charm, but it's also still a work in progress. My wife and I loved this island, but along with the recent ravages of the pandemic, it is a place that only received widespread electric about 7 years ago. Don't come here if you're seeking Miami or another resort city. Do come if you are still seeking adventure.

The liveliest and most memorable impression we bring with us from our two weeks at Koh Jum Resort is probably that of the genuine friendliness and generosity of the staff. There would always be a considerate, helpful attitude to whatever request we might have, and we sensed a sincere wish to make our stay there as agreeable as possible. Although today somewhat worn down, we believe that the resort, with its traces of a stately past, has a promising potential when it comes to location and construction. And it was obvious to us how the manager carries a strong ambition to restore the place to its former distinguished style. A very special moment was the surprise they had prepared for us on our last night: Upon entering the beach area where we had already enjoyed many meals (often the tasty mixed seafood grill), they amiably led us to an elevated, canopy covered pavilion accommodating a set dining table with a white tablecloth, candlelights and flower decorations. Once seated, we were served a tasty menu on the house with everything included. It was like a performance, and a super nice, perfect finale before returning home. Thank you! Ole, Petra and Else

Hyggeligt og autentisk resort

Hyggelige hytter med fantastisk udsigt. God og stille AC, dejlige senge og meget serviceminded personale. Morgenmaden var god med lidt af det hele. Der er 1-1,5 km til en kiosk eller andre restauranter, men der ligger 3 restauranter på stranden med resortet som er fine. Poolen er ikke noget særligt.

Fantastik ø og fantastisk resort

Fantastisk lille resort på den mest autentiske ø. Flotte værelser med dejlig stemning. Aber i træerne og havudsigt. Lidt sten i vandet men stranden perfekt til badning indtil kl 14. hvor vandet trækker ud. Personalet meget søde og behjælpelige. Maden god og bbq på stranden om aftenen. Perfekt sted at slappe af. Lej eventuelt scootere på resort og udforsk den lokale ø hvor alt er ægte og hyggeligt

Stille hotel

Selve hotellet var okay. Hvis man er til kun, at være på hotellet og ikke andet er det framragende. Desværre lukkede restaurant/bar allerede ved kl. 21.30, så ikke den hygge om aftenen med lidt drinks. Det samme med nytårs aften. Stranden er dejlig. Tæt på naturen.

2 nätter i regnoväder

2 nätter då vi älskade stället förra året. I år hade vi dock regnoväder vilket gjorde stället ganska tråkigt. Den fina stranden nedanför hotellet är den finaste på ön, men inte lika fin när regnet vräker ner. Vägen ut till hotellet är smal och lerig vilket också gjorde det omständigt vid oväder. Rekommenderar stället om man kan tänka sig bo nära djungeln och djurlivet, lite off och vid fint väder. Rekommenderar att äta på restaurangerna vid main road och inte vid stranden. Det går att gå dit, men det blir mörkt, eller hyra moped men mycket lurigt att köra längst med havet,
