Excellent stay

The entire experience using Ammergau Lodge was excellent. Large rooms in excellent condition along with the flexibility to use the common rooms made the experience great. We were on a family trip to Germany to visit the Xmas Markets and having visited Oberammergau several times in the past we left it until the end which finished the trip on a high note. The host made things easy and when discussing his lodge the pride was evident. We liked their format, no in house staff, easy access with lockbox for access to keys, common rooms for relaxing, cooking and eating. Small such that we had very little interface with the other customers so there were no conflicts. Easy to use with privacy and a very short walk to the downtown core. 5 thumbs up.

A home away from home

The hosts were incredibly friendly, hospitable, easy to communicate with, and made our stay very delightful. We had the pleasure of meeting them during our stay and they made us feel very welcomed by talking with us, showing us around the rest of the property, and just being great hosts. They have done a great job with Ammergau Lodge, it truly felt like a home away from home. Check in was simple and easy, the entire Lodge was cozy and felt more like a stay at a friend's house than anything else. Our room was comfortable and relaxing. The community kitchen is very user friendly and easy to get around in; it is stocked with everything you need to make a meal, you just have to provide your own groceries. The community dining area is spacious and even nice to relax and read in. There is a coffee area with several french presses and instructions in both German and English on how to brew the coffee. The whole facility is very up-to-date, clean, and welcoming. The location is fantastic; it is walking distance (10 minutes or less) from just about every attraction within the town of Oberammergau. There is a delightful little bakery on the same street and several restaurant options in very close proximity. We will absolutely be back!

War ganz Toll. Mitten in der Ortschaft gelegen. War beruflich dort und konnte leider zu der Zeit nicht viel Sehen von der Umgebung. Ganz nette und hilfsbereite Inhaberin. Gerne immer wieder.

Wir haben 5 Nächte gebucht. Die Kommunikation nebst Anruf wegen Rückfragen war hervorragend und sehr freundlich. Die Großraum-Küche entpuppte sich als toller Tippgeber, was die Ausflüge positiv beeinflusste. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist sehr gut. Ein grosser Speiseraum ist vorhanden. Viel Platz also und Café sogar in unbegrenzten Mengen umsonst, mit frisch gemahlene Bohnen. Die Strasse ist zwar recht unscheinbar, aber es war doch sehr laut in der Nacht, wenn mal ein Auto vorbei fuhr. Davon sind aber nur die Zimmer mit der Strasse Seite betroffen. Wir schlafen halt immer mit geöffneten Fenster. In dem Zusammenhang, Die Spinnen vor den Fenstern mögen den einen oder anderen Gast nicht grad erfreuen. Fenstergase würde zudem auch gegen die Mücken helfen. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Betten, bzw. Matratzen waren sehr gut. Wir haben gut gelegen. Wir haben kostenfrei auf dem Hof geparkt. Dort waren 4 Plätze ausgewiesen. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden. Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen, den Aufenthalt zu wiederholen. Zudem bietet die Lage in Oberammergau mehrere Ausflugsoptionen bei nicht zu langer Anreise. Also Top Lage!

Anvendte stedet ferielejlighed, som var rigtig dejlig. 2 separate soveområder, et værelse og en ret skærmet del i opholdsområdet. Badekar, Der er ikke reception på stedet, man havde heller ikke behov for en. Huset ligget centralt i Oberammergau.

Die Ammergau Lodge ist unbedingt ein Besuch wert!

Von der ersten, persönlichen Begrüßung der Vermieterin bis zur Abreise, mit persönlicher Verabschiedung durch den Vermieter war alles PERFEKT! Riesige, moderne Gemeinschaftsküche, praktisches, nummeriertes Boxsystem für die unterschiedlichen Gäste. Großer Gemeinschaftsraum und verschiedene gekühlte Getränke werden angeboten. Kaffee bis zum Abwinken und kostenlos! Mein Zimmer mit Bad war sehr sauber, äußerst ruhig und sehr gemütlich. Auch vom Bett war ich als Wasserbettenfan sehr überrascht. Ich habe wie Zuhause geschlafen. Alles einfach nur Super!!! Es sind ausreichen Parkmöglichkeiten am und ums Haus verfügbar. Oberammergau ist auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert. In dem verträumten Dörfchen haben wir bei jedem Spaziergang Neues und Interessantes gesehen. Von der beeindruckenden Gegend kann ich nur schwärmen! Ich war ganz sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier!

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung mit einem genialen Panoramafenster mit Blick auf den Kofel! Bei jedem Wetter eine atemberaubende Aussicht! Nachts ein wunderschöner Sternenhimmel. Die Ferienwohung ist super gelegen, ruhig, dennoch nur 5 Minuten vom Stadtkern. Außerdem alles sehr sauber! Die Vermieter sind sehr nett!
