The hotel is dated, Japan 1970/Deco, and the rooms/bathrooms are small. Reception staff's ability in English is limited. The location may be central but not appealing. We overnighted for the Naoshima ferry. A better choice for this purpose is JR Clement which is across the street from the ferry and the station.

Clean room, everything functional. Good service! Just fyi, the beds were extremely hard - my partner loves a firm bed, so he slept great, but I’m the opposite, so I didn’t get the most restful sleep.
