"we had a wonderful stay at the NH hotel - small glitch on the floor we were allocated - but staff helped us change floors no problem - kind small gestures -decent size room with windows that open !!! very helpful - fabulous location -great breakfast with a lot of options and friendly staff - great artwork, nice vibe, water stations and snacks , would happily revisit"

"Front desk agent Florentine was very helpful. She helped us with a smile and was very efficient with our requests and check in. She made us feel welcome. Also on last day they helped us with late check out. It was greatly appreciated. Room was modern, clean and spacious. Property feels refreshed and full of small details that make you feel right at home. Great breakfast and free popcorn for guests. Excellent hotel that we will book again and again when in Amsterdam."

"As with most inner city rooms in Amsterdam, ‘compact and bijou’ but no complaints. All facilities are functional, clean and tidy. There’s a lift that is quiet, which is good given the stairs are like all in Amsterdam are really steep. Good location for anyone wanting to explore more of the outer canals etc. and is away from the bars enough to be quiet."

"the hotel is lovely. nicely redone and the restaurants and food is very good. the only issue and its important....the mattresses are incredibly hard. like sleeping on a table. if you like a hard mattress....this is a good thing....if you like something more comfortable....this is not the place."

"Central location and although given earplugs in room they were not needed. Air-conditioning worked ok, not blasting out, but left on made the room nice and cool after returning from a day out. No tea coffee facility in room which was a bit disappointing as a cup of coffee in amsterdam is extortionate. Then again everything is. 30 quid minimum for a round of 4 beers. Ouch. Rooms a bit dated but clean and serviced every day. Friendly staff and good security with the lift needing your door card to operate. Maybe an ironing board in room would be nice. Didn't have breakfast but looked ok when viewed. View was of street and not sure on the "canal view" stated in the blurb. Maybe one room had a view but seemed unlikely. Overall I liked the hotel very much and would stay again but not until amsterdam gets cheaper or the pound gets better exchange rate or hopefully both. Took a ride on the double decker train to the coast. 2 tickets 66 euros!!! Another ouch."
