Quick visit to see our Blue Hen. The property is behind her dorm, so that’s great. The property was clean, our room felt clean, the staff was lovely, breakfast was good, our room was very quiet at night, the bed was comfortable. We will absolutely be staying again.

It’s a lovely old hotel. I’ve driven by a few times and always wondered what it was like inside. It didn’t disappoint!
Beautiful old floors and woodwork. Nothing cookie cutter.
The bar is gorgeous, but the sound did not penetrate-even with a band playing.
Room was clean, plenty of towels and temperature control was quick to change, so very comfortable
If you like old buildings this is for you
Only one word of caution. You do have to carry your bag up a staircase, so don’t overpack!

I noticed they were in the process of updating the interiors of some of the cabooses, ours was a little bit in need of attention but it was minor cosmetic. Room was clean. Breakfast was good with enough options for everyone. Good orange juice, not watered down. The guy restocking the buffet, I think his name was Chad, was really hustling to keep everyone happy. Front desk help was pleasant and helpful. Indoor pool was nice. Could be a little warmer. We would stay here again in the future. Price for the weekend was better than others in the area.
