This was an interesting trail I found today. I parked at PNC arena then followed a pathway that went under Edwards Mill rd. And route 40. The first mile is nothing special. It's a very wide Greenway with a ton of manholes. But it leads you to a smaller trail that borders the Schenck forest and turns into loblolly trail in Umstead! This area was very pretty and followed what I believe was Reedy Creek. The best part is I walked 4 miles total and only saw 3 other people!

Nice arena. Lots of good food and beer options. Allow plenty of time to park, or take an Uber/Lyft.

If leaving a huge event, expect a VERY long wait for transportation (cab/Uber/Lyft).

Use Uber to get here and be dropped off. Parking is $30 a vehicle otherwise! Backyard Bistro across the street is a good place to grab a preshow or pregame drink.

If your extra early to an event go to the Backyard Bistro to hang out!

Backyard bistro is definitely a place to stop for food and drinks before or after. And tickets are really cheap if you wait until the day of. We went for a Canes game.
