Whereas the staff were friendly the hotel itself was very out dated. I had a view over looking the back of the hotel and there was a corner in the compound full of beds, pallets, mattresses which looked unsightly. Plus i noticed that my bed frame had blood on it. About a palm print size. I wont go there again.

If hygiene is something you really enjoy, then don't stay here. If you are not to fussy it is fine. Great location. The TV works and it is very cheap.

Right on the sea front and very close to all the seaside amenities. Ali was very helpful and hospitable - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and tidy and fairly standard for a seaside hotel. The hotel is in the process of being done up and the staff were keen for us to be satisfied with our stay. Any tiny concerns were very quickly sorted.

The room door code was more convenient thsn a key or card. However staff were initially hard to find on checking in. Creaky floorboards in the corridors meant that noise was heard everytime people walked past the door. Room was clean and functional

Poor

The location was good. The host was lovely but the hotel itself was shabby and dated. The tv didnt work, the shower was dirty. I always strip the bedding when i leave a hotel and the duvet was dirty inside. The bar was closed and i certainly wouldnt want to eat in the restaurant. For the price, you get what you pay for but i wouldnt visit again.

Property just across the road from sea easy access, parking which is a big help. Friendly staff very helpful. Overall our experience was good all round. We will book again when visiting Paignton.

Basic hotel at a cheap price. Just nicely out of the centre so it is quiet on a nightime. I have stopped before and I will be stopping again as it is handy when I am working in the area.

This property is old but the location is great. If you don’t mind sleeping on a lumpy bed and a shower that only runs at scorching then it’s worth it for the price. It was fairly quiet and fairly clean but everything is old, there were loose power cables in my room and a tv but no remote. It did include breakfast though which was good given the price.

Not a bad stay, we can see they are trying to improve the hotel and it’s been cleaned in areas. The negative the pillows are somewhat questionable !! Take your own as they are not nice. They could do with a lamp in the room and better heating as we stayed in February and the hearting was off. They only put it on as we got there but was still cold in the room. The bathroom shower could do with being cleaned better or a new shower head as it was not the best. For a double room it was very small. Must a bed large furniture I would say too large for the room and no chairs to sit on.
