This was a great hotel. The room was large, it was well equipped with everything from pots and pans to a small stove and microwave and fridge. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. There is also an easy to use laundry area. My only complaint was the internet. It was really SLOOOOOW. I'm a digital nomad, so this is important to me and I measure things like speed. When I arrived, it was running about 4-5 Mbps,acceptable, probably not fast enough for streaming but good enough for email By evening, it has degraded to .1 Mbps, making web use next to impossible and even email or using spotify painfully slow. Time to upgrade to more bandwidth. I'm in a motel in the northland in the middle of nowhere with speeds of 30-40 Mbps, so I know it is possible. Other than that quibble, important to me but perhaps not to most people, it was a great stay. I would recommend it as long as you don't have a Zoom meeting or need to send multimedia files.

Thank you Kevin. We agree the WIFI is awful at the moment, this has suddenly happened in the last couple of months and we are working to figure out why! We know this is really important and hope to have a resolution soon!

Excellent stay
3 night booked with a garden view, The room was good although we did have a small problem which I took up with the owner and offered to pay to upgrade. She obligingly moved us upstairs for two nights and the room was so much better and she did not charge me anything. Very friendly staff and owner. Easy access to the beach and pier.

Our room was spacious and clean, with a very large bed. The lady on reception was helpful with lots of advice for trips and restaurants. An easy 10 minute stroll to the centre of Paihia.

We were greeted warmly, Penny the owner drove us to pick up some groceries which we really appreciated. We like to sleep in and if we did not leave the room by 10, no one came to make it up later. The room was spacious and comfortable. Location was an easy walk to town. We found the pool not ideal. There was no railing to hold for stairs and steps were deep so challenging to get in and out. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accommodation.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a more spacious room. Nice balcony although not private. Good facilities, good size shower. Lovely comfortable chairs to relax.

My stars! Our experience exceeded our highest expectations. We anticipated a late check in and Admiral's View Lodge emailed very clear instructions. The well-appointed room was a welcome relief after a long drive from Auckland: very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and well-stocked mini-kitchen. We had a full day planned and woke up well rested. The beach and restaurants are all within a short walk. We highly recommend the Admiral's View Lodge for anyone. The icing on the cake came when I inadvertently left a package in the closet - within hours I received notice from the staff and they facilitated shipping back to me. What a relief!

From the moment you arrive you feel welcome and the rooms are serviced daily. So handy to to the beach front, shops, restaurants, 7 daily grocery and dairy plus liquor store. the staff serving your room take pride in their work so if its a clean, comfortable and well appointed room this is the place to stay.

Booked this accommodation quite last minute due to a cancellation. Upon arrival Penny was very helpful and the housekeeping staff were fantastic. My room was ready for an early check-in as requested. The double room was incredible. Very comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Plenty of parking and within walking distance of beach and restaurants.

Property is positioned up high with a lovely view over the bay and very quiet as it is off the main road. It is also within an easy 5 minute walk to the marina and restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Perfect location, just a short pleasant stroll along the beachfront to get to the town center. Clean, comfy, separate kitchenette area, spacious bathroom, outdoor sitting area, parking on site. You can also grab a bike or tennis racquets! Above all, Penny is the best host. You won’t find a kinder and more helpful person. Highly recommend this accommodation for a stay in Paihia! ,

We had a pleasant stay. The apartment was big and mostly clean (except for the dishes). They serviced the apartment every day, which was really lovely. The only thing that I didn't like, was the WiFi connection, that was horrible. If this is not a problem for you, this is an excellent place in an amazing location.
