"I loved my stay at Hotel Balear. The hotel itself (decor and architecture, fixtures) reminded me in the best way of childhood experiences in European hotels in the 70s and 80s. Everything was clean, nice, well kept, and comfortable (I slept very well). The single room was large, with plenty of storage space if one were staying for a week or so. I loved the hallways of the building and made a point of taking the stairs to look at the artwork. Breakfast was good, with many options. I especially appreciated the reading room/library/lounge on the second floor, as a pleasant place to escape to write in a journal or compose a postcard, or just read or simply sit on a comfortable sofa and look out the window.
The location is great if you're in Palma for the beach! Plenty of good restaurants and takeaway places around; noise was not an issue; the hotel is easy to find and has the front desk staffed 24 hrs."
