Paradise Island, New Providence Island hotel rooms at the Marriott Hotels & Resorts

"We had a really nice stay overall. The food and drinks were both great, with plenty of options and everything we tried was enjoyable. They also have three additional restaurants you can book for dinner, which was a nice option to switch things up—just make sure to reserve at least a day in advance. The resort offered a variety of daytime and evening activities, which we loved. Things like bingo, paint and sip, and Jeopardy made it fun and gave us something to look forward to each day. That said, the hotel itself is definitely on the older side. The rooms and hallways had a noticeable musty smell, and the property is quite small, which might not be for everyone if you’re expecting a larger, more modern resort. One thing to note—be cautious booking excursions through the on-site tour company. We had a frustrating experience where we were booked for the wrong day (despite being told the correct one), and nothing was done to fix it. While we did receive a refund, it ended up being the last day of our honeymoon, which was really disappointing. Even with those drawbacks, we still had a great time. The atmosphere was relaxed, the activities were entertaining, and the overall experience was enjoyable."

"Where to begin? We have stayed at this RIU in the Bahamas four times. This will be the last. It has gone downhill. This is not a 4 star resort at all. The rooms are musty and moldy due to the lack of proper ventilation and air conditioning. The entire hotel has that musty smell. Everything needs major upgrades. The bar pool has tiles floating loosely at the bottom. The food is awful! The buffet was completely disappointing. We had one decent meal at the steakhouse but you have to reserve it two days before. We switched rooms twice. Every room had some sort of issue- no water coming out of shower head, mildew all over the hanging drapes, smells of musty mold. One room had poor air conditioning due to dirtiness. I don’t usually do reviews however I’m saving you from be very disappointed for the money you spend! Look elsewhere. The Baha Mar and Atlantis were much nicer even though a bit more money. It’s worth it and we may try them if we come back. "

"The Atlantis property is huge with lots to see and do. We stayed at the Coral hotel which was a little dated but fine for us. The staff were very helpful and while we had a few little things wrong with our room they came and fixed it right away. They gave us a rollaway bed at no extra charge. Lots of breakfast and meal options right in the hotel. Warning that the food is very expensive and not great however. Not just at hotel but all around the property. "

"Awful. Food was overpriced and generally below average. Had to send a number of things back. Staff generally disinterested and our suite on check in was not cleaned. Moved us to a smaller room. I could go on but I will never be returning there so I can’t be bothered. Avoid at all costs. "

"Excellent Staff, Beautiful Pool Area. On-site dining (pricey, but wonderful food). Rooms are dated, but provides practical amenities. "

"The hotel is very nice but has some issues that are not acceptable at this price point. The rooms are clean but could use some upgrades. The bathroom had cracked tiles, sink that drained very slow, one of the sinks didn’t dispense cold water, etc. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and the ocean front views are breath taking. We did have some issues with our door not locking and unlocking upon arrival and the hotel also forgot to pick us up after one of the tours we booked through them. The food is ok. For this price we were expecting more. "
