I had mixed feelings about my stay at Résidence du Pré. On the positive side, the location is unbeatable. It’s incredibly convenient for getting around Paris, with great metro links and plenty of cafes nearby. It really serves as a perfect home base for sightseeing.
However, the major downside is the lack of soundproofing. The walls are unfortunately very thin; I could hear almost everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway, which made it hard to get a restful night's sleep. When I approached the front desk to ask for a room change, the staff member on duty spoke very little English, making it quite difficult to communicate my concerns. Eventually, I was told there were no other rooms available.
If you are a heavy sleeper who prioritizes location above all else, this is a good value. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might want to look elsewhere or come prepared with high-quality earplugs.
