“Property is very quiet, decoration is austere reflecting a modern monastic interpretation. Bedroom and Bathroom are spacious and comfortable. A swim cap must be used / purchased to access the pool. Breakfast room and meal is adequate and pleasing. Bar is austere to the point of seeming unfinished, a missed opportunity.”

“Wonderfully maintained property, super clean and the breakfast was fantastic. Many amenities like pool, pool table and table tennis which we regretfully didn’t have time to use. The owner gave great recommendations for places to eat and what to see. Definitely top of list when we come back to Portugal!”

“The property was lovely, our room was very clean and well appointed. It is a very quiet location with a very nice courtyard area to sit and relax. Our hostess Sandra was delightful and provided us with a delicious breakfast including homemade breads and cake.”

“Our family stayed here on the way to Porto and had very special experience. Hotel was modern and clean while room interior gave feeling you're in home. Breakfast was one of best we had. It was so delucious and fresh just like cooked at home. Atmosphere of the village was also impressive with many stone-walls and peaceful scenary. ”

“What a stay!! We travel Europe and USA extensively. I have to say this was the most comfortable stay we have ever experienced. The Lobby was comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and comfortable. The view from the room was second to none. The restaurant staff was first class. I could go on and on but you get the idea. We really hated to leave. The hotel management and staff should be very proud of themselves.”

“Coffee and tea bags in room not replenished. Apparently you have pay for additional tea bags. Sauna and indoor pool looks great but why do you charge €15 per person for 1.5 hours Map of grounds clearly shows access to town via gate at bottom of property for easy access. Nowhere it is stated that this entrance is locked and not operational as of yet”
