"*Related to our July 2026 visit: there is an extensive construction project ranging from the eastern point (Samuh Hill) all the way west past Candidasa beach. They are building a long walking strand and seawalls along this entire stretch. There is a partially-graded road that officially has "no walking" signs, but many people continued to use them. The construction effectively prevents access to beaches and the lagoon, and there is daytime noise. The first thing you notice is the gorgeous ocean views. We had a bungalow here, with a view that looked straight out over the pool, across the beach, and straight to the ocean. The rooms are small but clean and well-appointed. The grounds are manicured, with staff going around every day to tidy up this or that. Everyone was very friendly. The restaurant is very convenient as well; there are a few options around town for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but not a ton! It's nice to have something right on the property for when you don't feel like facing the Bali traffic. We personally enjoyed having the neighborhood touts going up and down the beach offering their services, but some might find them a little annoying. We met a local fisherman our first day who took us snorkeling at the blue lagoon and then the next day took us by boat over to the white sand beach (Virgin Beach). You might have to haggle a bit and so on, but it's totally worth it - just ask the front desk to give you a general idea of price for what you want to do."

"Excellent clean room, (with Netflix) lovely staff, ok-good breakfast. Lovely pool and gardens. Dinners were great value. The construction work on the sea path was barely audible- if you wear earbuds and listen to music you wouldn’t hear it at all. I’d happily come back."
