We had such a wonderful stay at The Ava Hotel Paso Robles. The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and feels thoughtfully designed from the moment you walk in. Everything felt clean, well maintained, and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made our trip feel extra special. What really stood out was the service. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay, which made a huge difference. It felt like they actually cared about making sure guests had a great experience. The location was also perfect for exploring Paso Robles, and after a day of wine tasting, it was so nice to come back to a hotel that felt relaxing and elevated. We would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paso Robles.

The Ava was a pleasant surprise. It is a new modern clean hotel. It has a restaurant and rooftop gathering place for an enjoyable evening. The coffee bar offers delectable treats and great coffee options. There is an Amtrack that runs right behind the hotel, however only saw two short quick trains the whole day and none in the evening. Very convenient to downtown restaurants and shopping with a park nearby. Short drive to vineyards was a plus. Loved it!

The property itself is very beautiful and the majority of the staff are very helpful and friendly upon arrival. There is one particular incident that I did bring up to staff that was not handled appropriately. We stayed for one night and on the morning of our departure at 8:30 a.m., we get a knock on our door which my partner answered, and the gentleman in the hallway states he's just checking if the suite is vacant. He do not identify himself continue to walk down the hall. When I heard this, I stuck my head out in the hallway to get a glimpse of who this person is. I immed went to the front desk and notified them not a strange gentleman is knocking door to door asking if the suites are vacant and briefly describe to this person was. The front desk person stated, it must have been our head of facilities. I said, "in what world is it okay for staff member who has access to all the rooms to knock on our door at 8:30 a.m., to check if our suite was vacant." We do not have check out until 11:00 a.m., so obviously they can check their system to see if there is still a person inside this suite. If we did not answer the door, would he have entered without permission, and then have access to all of our personal goods. What if we were there and we didn't answer, would he still proceed to enter and then interrupt our privacy. And was he an actual employee? The front desk person, Isabel, did not seem to respond in a manner that seemed like she cared or thought this was an issue.

The unique use of sliding barn doors for both the bathroom and the glass shower perfectly adds to the simple, clean aesthetic. The thoughtful amenities like real glassware for the Nespresso, wine glasses with a corkscrew, spacious closets, and a safe elevated the room into a truly memorable stay. The second-floor courtyard is a beautiful oasis, featuring comfortable lounge chairs and modern, glass-gravel linear fire tables.

The room was a unique floor plan and we loved it. The 2nd floor outdoor bar was so fun and the food and drinks were excellent! We booked this hotel last minute but if we return to Paso Robles this is definitely where we will stay but get a balcony room on the second floor. Great location to walk to restaurants.

The property is beautiful and the staff welcoming and knowledgeable. However, I had to leave a couple of nights early. I notified the front desk the morning of my departure so they knew my room would be available. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to refund, partially refund or give me a credit towards a future stay for my 2 unused nights. Very disappointing.
