"The Beaufort Inn rises to the top so far, in Beaufort stays. We’ve stayed at the Rhett House and Cuthbert House. Different experiences in each. The grounds are immaculate, superior and expansive with a unique layout - offering room and cottage stays. Ample room for leisure and sitting outside. The main house is fine and clean, and where breakfast is served. Our C. cottage was immense and adorable with its own courtyard. The a/c worked wonderfully and it had all we needed except no Kleenex. Staff are helpful. The only differences in your experience here vs. the others is your B&B intricacies - for example… no wine and cheese hour; no table service for breakfast; no special treats in the room for you or your dog, no welcome drink. So your experience is less personalized. With that said, if you’re looking for an immaculate stay with off-street parking, with a light breakfast, and a super comfortable bed and plush white towels - also being walking distance to absolutely everything - this is your place."

"After a bit of a check-in hiccup this was a great stay. Wonderful rooms. Close to historic downtown. Very walkable. Parking was adequate. No front desk (self check-in and codes throughout.) The inn is modern, but chic and in the historical district. They had everything we needed and the beds were extra comfortable. Great stay."

"Hotel convenient to beautiful downturn area. Staff are terrific. Hotel snd rooms a bit dated but location snd staff make up for this. Rooms are roomy and clean. "

"Check in was a breeze even with my service pup. We were given a ground floor room. The room was exceptional!! Clean, smelled great, nice little fridge with a small freezer section that worked wonderfully. We loved the kohler rain shower head in the shower, the tub was huge and a relaxing end to the day. The amenities for the bathroom were amazing, we loved the shampoo and body wash so much we are going to research the brand (BeeKind). We walked to dinner at Luthers rare and well done, in which we highly recommended, stopped off at Kilwins for ice cream , then to Java City News for a coffee to end the night. There were 2 chocolate chip cookies waiting on our door for us as a surprise. The bed and pillows was extremely comfortable, the entire room is well equipped. We will definitely be back. The only con that I would say is that the hotel is on the main drag in town and traffic can be a little loud, but died down and we had no issues sleeping. "

"The check-in was seamless and the hotel accommodations were good. We were able to do an early check-in as well. However the first room we were given was not suitable for us because it smelled of smoke, but I was able to get our room changed and it smelled better. Although the floor was dirty and needed mopping, we had returned after the cleaning staff was gone, so I dealt with it. Overall, the stay was good and the beds were clean. I and my husband slept well. Thanks for accommodating us."

"Staying at this historic hotel was an absolute delight. The property itself is full of charm, with beautiful preserved details. From the warm welcome we received from Emma to the wonderful breakfasts served each morning, nearly every aspect felt special. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for the perfect getaway. The hosts clearly take great pride in maintaining the property while ensuring the guests are comfortable. The only area that could use a bit of improvement would be the cleanliness of the room. While it was not a major issue, a more thorough cleaning would have made our stay flawless. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming and memorable stay. "
