“The outside appeared to be recently redone and the bedding (including mattress) had clearly been updated. In stark contrast, the decor/furniture was a little dated. The appliances and sofa bed, however, are unacceptable. We booked a suite (King bed + sofa bed). When we checked in, the sofa bed was so bad that there was no way anybody would be able to sleep on it. We ended up having to book a second room. Fortunately, the mattresses were comfortable, so everyone slept well in the end (but...

The room we were in was a joined cabin and we never heard our neighbours at all! It is a bit out of the way but it is very reasonably priced for everything you have access to! “Stayed 2 nights, chosen for its location and reviews. Check-in was rough: I waited 15-20 minutes at the desk with luggage. Eventually a waitress standing there told me that it was a self check in and there should be a card on the second floor. She said in such of way that made me feel like it was obvious and I should have known this already. Found my Room #2 card, but the door code didn't work — I just turned the handle and it opened. The room itself was lovely: Victorian furniture, unique art....

“This resort is lovely and the staff is terrific. My only disappointment was the food. The quality was fine, but the portions were far too large. The menu called for a crab cake appetizer, but I was served 2 full-sized crab cakes suitable for a full meal. On another occassion I could only eat about 30% of a huge caesar salad. So much wasted food. There was no option for a little snack or sharing plate with a pre-dinner cocktail, so that was disappointing. Otherwise,, its a wonderful spot to which...

“Historic and eclectic buildings with amazing staff! A quiet area with discount to The Kingsbrae Gardens and a quick walk to downtown St. Andrew's. The only negatives were the price and the shower was tiny with very limited hot water.”
