"This is a beautiful, private place. Wonderful service, food, accommodations. The owner is great at connecting you with day trips and transportation. It is not near anything that you can access without a car or transportation but it worked great for us to see the James Bond Island and area in a perfect private day tour arranged for us."

"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. "My cousin was getting married at the Akyra! We stayed there for 5 days. The all inclusive was well worth it! It included food, drinks and a massage each day! The massages were great, professional, relaxing. The food here is amazing, everything tasted so fresh. The staff was awesome and extremely kind. The beach had the perfect amount of breeze, was clean, and not overpopulated. Thank you Akyra! Our stay was amazing!"

"The resort itself is quite nice if you like being remote - so remote Grab services don’t operate there. There’s a very small mini mart 2 mins up the road but otherwise not a lot within walking distance. The staff keep the beach in front of the resort clean, but if you walk further up the beach in each direction there is lots of trash which is such a shame and does ruin the tranquil vibe. The food was all pretty awful. The worst pasta dishes I have ever had, and the massaman curry was stupidly...

"It's position right on the beautiful Memories beach. The only thing I would say, maybe change the breakfast from day to day a little bit. We had 6days days of the same, it was all lovely and tasty but some changes would be welcome"

"I think I was lucky with my outward facing room, windows all around overlooking the jungle and hills and it was a big apartment too. It was quiet and I felt safe in all of Khoa Lak as a female on my own. All staff were friendly and I liked it was tucked away from the hussle but still walkable. Nice beaches near by. Food is ok for 3 star. Pools and beach were nice too and do close to a beautiful stretch of public beach. The only thing i would say for guests is to show then where their room is on...

"Terrible check in experience. Waited a long time..they wouldn’t show us to our room and we didn’t get a welcome drink or towel (others did). They then tried to put us in a triples bed room with 2 single beds pushed together. I arranged the romantic dinner..and it was a surprise.. yet TWICE staff approached me in the days before the meal to confirm details of the surprise meal. "
