"We arrived early and could check in. Used pool and jacuzzi overlooking Perugia. Lovely and relaxing at the end of the trip. First impressions of this ancient castle did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel and grounds were impressive. Room was very comfortable. Had a drink outside before dinner. Still taking it all in. Dinner was incredible. "The room has excellent views in a space that oozes character. The shared spaces and rooftop terrace were a very cool added bonus. We stayed in the blue suite and found it spacious and comfortable. The only slight issue was a faint odor coming from the second bedroom. We didn’t use that room and closing the door solved the problem for the rest of the suite, but it is worth noting. I know some people will complain that it is on the third floor and there is no lift, but frankly if this is an issue...

"The Brufani is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia. The location is very centrally located, yet up on the Hill so not too congested. My room was a bit tired looking from a design standpoint, but it was an oversized suite overlooking the entire valley below and a medieval tower just feet away. Ask for room 138. They also have a lovely outdoor terrace for the perfect place for an aperitivo. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And stay there again. Perugia is a great base to stay and do trips around the Umbrian region. Simply Stunning and less crowds than Tuscany. "
