Navigating hotel options near John F. Kennedy International Airport can feel like a gamble, but our recent stay at the Fairfield Inn JFK was an overall smooth and comfortable experience. Arriving after a long day of travel, our primary goal was to check in quickly. The front desk staff ensured that happened seamlessly, greeting us warmly with kind, professional service that immediately put us at ease in a clean, welcoming lobby. Upon entering our room, we found the space tidy and well-maintained. The bedding was fresh, crisp, and comfortable, and the bathroom featured a clean, modern design with spotless fixtures. However, two issues prevented a perfect score and led to our 9/10 or 4/5 star rating. First, the air conditioner struggled to cool the room efficiently, leaving the space warm and stuffy at times. Second, the carpeting felt visibly aged and dingy, which detracted from the room's otherwise modern aesthetic. The clear highlight of our stay was the complimentary breakfast. It was exceptionally well organized and offered an impressive variety, including scrambled eggs, sausage, a fresh waffle station, oatmeal, and bananas. The only minor drawback was the coffee, which brewed a bit thin for our taste. Overall, the genuine hospitality, overall cleanliness, and standout breakfast far outweighed the few room quirks, making this a reliable hotel choice near JFK that we would gladly recommend.

Great location in lower Manhattan. The hotel was comfortable, well maintained and near good restaurants and pubs. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend staying here.

Great location on Your West Side, spacious rooms with kitchenettes.

For this property to be so expensive I expected better customer service and a cleaner room. Cons- 1. The furniture in my room was extremely dusty AND the bed was on wheels so every time I sat down or moved in the bed the bed moved! Some mornings my pillows would be on the floor in the space between the mattress and the headboard. 2. The walls are SUPER thin. I heard the person in the room next to mine entire conversation. 3. Most of the staff members are very blah and not very welcoming. Especially the gentleman working the cafe in the afternoon. 4. There isn’t any real room service options, expect for the little cafe that has shipped in pastries and bagged chips and snacks. The restaurant on site only allows pick up and is extremely expensive. A burger and fries was 45 dollars. 5. The front desk workers can be a little confused if you are doing more than just checking in or out. If you have questions about your bill or room issues they seem to be confused and will need to get a manager. Pros- 1. We had a room on the 36th floor which had an absolute beautiful view! 2. It’s about a 12-15min walk to the closest subway station. There are some hills so if you don’t mind that then it’s a nice walk. 3. The room was really spacious. 4. We felt safe walking to and from the hotel.
