Its a busy port. I guess because of this, shops and area around it is clusters and
Kastella is a little further from the port and out of the more commercial area of Piraeus. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and we walked to the Metro many times. It takes about 20 mins to the City Center.
Dirty port
During our stay there was a flea market right around the corner of Piraeus Port Hotel that we went to. Although we definitely look foreign to the vendors and local shoppers my sister and I felt safe while browsing .
