True cabin experience with goat encounters
I chose this accommodation primarily for its affordability and proximity to the beach, which was a definite plus. Having someone with me was comforting, as I might have felt less secure with just my son and me. While I appreciate the concept of the place, I found the condition of the bathrooms to be less than satisfactory; they could benefit from more thorough cleaning. The showers also needed some attention. Additionally, I was surprised to encounter goat droppings in the area, which detracted from the overall experience.
Iโm not very familiar with goats, so I found it a bit startling when they approached me. They were sweet and didn't harm me, but I just wasn't used to having goats come so close. I did appreciate having a convenient grill, a refrigerator, and an air conditioner that was really cold.
There was a rather loud animal by the lake at night that made a squeaking noise, which was a bit disruptive. The beds could use some improvement for comfort, and accessing the second bunk bed was somewhat challenging. I also think it would enhance the cabin's appeal to have a curtain on the window and to provide two chairs on the porch instead of just one. On a positive note, I truly enjoyed the convenient location close to Assateague and Ocean City.
