Since Apple Hill opened that weekend, it was the only motel with vacancy when booked it 6 days prior to reservation. It was my wife’s first stay in a 1 star motel. It was clean, comfortable enough, convenient, and as a plus, they had availability when others had none. It is just an older motel with some wear.

Good amount of shops nearby and very convenient for travelling between Tahoe and Sacramento. Very easy parking and very kind and helpful staff at the window. The room was a little worse for wear with every tile in the bathroom being loose and seeing a thick grey carpet of dust on the upper half of the curtains.

This motel is ok for what it is, but doesn't warrant a 4 star rating. It is old and everything needs to be updated inside and out. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, the linens were snow-white clean, and as far as I could see the room was decently clean. There are homeless passing through, but nothing crazy. Quiet overall. Window AC kept room cool. crazy, and it was rather quiet. The window AC kept the room cool.

We appreciated the comfort of the room. There is a small creek running behind that was nice to listen to at night. The main room and bathroom were clean. The bathtub was clean. We did get some ants pretty quickly in the kitchen area with a sandwich on the counter. Otherwise, everything was comfortable.
