"We loved our stay here. The hotel is characterful and in a great location, very close to the station. There's a lovely outside area where you can take your breakfast. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. Most of all the manager and his mother were extremely helpful and friendly."

"This is a nice hotel on the quieter side of Menton not too far from the main shopping area. Great beds and comfortable rooms, the balcony overlooking the sea was so nice. The room itself was big and well laid out. We had booked this hotel because of the hot tub and solarium on the roof. The hot tub in particular was really disappointing. The jets are so powerful and weirdly placed that it wasn’t comfortable to sit it. The water was like warm, not hot. Don’t press the shower head button in the hot tub. The jets are so strong it wasn’t comfortable painful to stand under. Like I said we were really looking forward to this and it was not as good as we hoped. So overall it was a nice hotel, a bit pricer but I was willing to pay a premium for the hot tub and I had some regrets about that. We didn’t let it ruin our stay but I would likely try to find a different hotel based on that or if it was a good price point, stay here and not get excited about the hot tub on the roof."

"This property was stunning. The staff at check in were friendly, accomodating and all round fabulous. They provided great detail for exploring and we were delighted with the calibre of the rooms sheets, towels, bedroom decor and ammenities Good to know: -Easy walk to old town pedestrian street and the ocean -Easy walk to great eating and tourist shopping -Walk to train is 10min without luggage and maybe 15-25min with heavy luggage -Monaco and Nice are an easy train ride of less than 30min -Comp breakfast was exceptional and breakfast lounge is gorgeous Truly we have stayed at a good many hotels and Hotel Gabriel is an absolute delight, the decor is fun and thoughtful and the rooms are lovely with so many thoughtful touches. I would encourage a stay here because wow what a sweet surprise of a little town and knowing you can easily train yourself to Nice, Monaco and Villefranche for petite day trips is a bonus"

"Hidden gem in Menton with beautiful garden & terrace. We enjoyed our stay and the outdoor swimming-pool was warmer than expected. Friendly staff and clean room, but the extremely small. The outdoor table could not be used because it was always dirty. The cleaning crew probably stopped cleaning it because there was a pigeon hiding on the roof ....ohterwise, we enjoyed our stay in Menton. Very convenient to beaches and restaurants and we were lucky to be there on an evening with live music (although short!). The breakfast buffet and area was great."

"This is a lovely hotel and the best Best Western I’ve EVER stayed in. If you have the budget, I would definitely recommend getting a sea view room though. My “mountain view” was at ground level and basically overlooked the street. That said, it was IMMACULATELY clean and new and very comfortable despite being quite small. Good breakfast. The location is a bit of a schlepp to old town Menton and the old port. It’s actually more Roquebrune-cap-martin than Menton TBH. A very good hotel though!"
