โLatica lodge was amazing to stay at! If youโre looking for that community vibe then this should be on the top of your list. โOwner was amazing. I had a delayed flight and they checked up on me and even gave me a ride from a nearby hotel as I was having a hard time getting Uber rides within Pinilla. Internet was strong and I was able to work remotely without issues during my meetings. The room is comfy and the property is just excellent. โLuis and Veronica have a very special place, and they are the nicest and most attentive hosts. They welcomed us warmly and told us about the local beaches and recommended local turtle guides, so we got to see some of the Olive Ridleys lay eggs! โThe property is in an excellent location with easy access to the beach and local restaurants. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable for our family. We spent a lot of time on the patio and the pool was refreshing after a day on the beach. Dave was very helpful and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend! โ

โWe weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. โWe had minor issues with AC being always on, and the thermostats not kicking in. There was also a clog in the AC unit and cause leaking from the ceiling.
The road to the resort needs work. There is a 10 minute stretch thatโs really nerve wracking if you are coming in for the first time when itโs dark, and you worry about the damage to the vehicle.
Other than that, itโs a great place and does deserve all the 5-stars. โ
