We booked the honeymoon cottage, which is a separate ocean-front fare surrounded by flowers and fruit trees. It has a canopy bed and a single bed where we set our suitcases. There is a fully furnished kitchenette with a half size fridge, cooktop, microwave, coffeemaker and kettle, and toaster. All the cookware and dishes are furnished as well. It was centrally located right across the street from Kamaole I Beach, and while I wouldn't necessarily recommend staying anywhere in Kihei without a car, there were definitely places to eat and hang in walkable distance in both directions, and the hotel also offered a complementary shuttle service within a 3-mile radius. For those with cars, the plentiful free parking was a nice contrast vs the predatory parking fees at the Wailea resorts.

However the food variety is very little , quality and taste wise food was very poor! We could hardly have a nice meal on our last day at the Candle Light Dinner. Please don't get afraid if you see sharks all around, including in front of your room. And one final bad comment about the boat transfer charges! My husband and I stayed at the Pearl Beach for 9 nights to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. The hotel service was fantastic, being greeted each morning by our names by the second day. The hotel was quiet, allowing for rest and relaxation. The views were fabulous and the hotel grounds were exceptionally clean. We treated ourselves to the couples massage and it was fantastic, and also did the jet ski lagoon tour--a definite must! We will definitely be going back!!

I like that this property is so close to the beach and shopping area. The gym and laundry facilities located on the same floor was convenient. I was able to work out while waiting for the laundry to be done. The manager’s reception with live music and the breakfast with miso soup daily sweet fresh pineapple were really enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and clean. The bed was so comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
