An authentically stylish hotel.

This 16th century manor house has been lovingly and tastefully restored and one has a sense of stepping back in history. Everything is first class, including the friendly and accommodating service. The location is 10 minutes outside of Ponte de Lima, so a car is recommended. We stayed 3 nights and toured from there, happily returning each time to this beautiful hotel. It was a highlight of our 2 week tour of Portugal.

Hotel Rural de Luxo num ambiente descontraido

Este Hotel Rural foi recuperado respeitando a traça da arquitetura mas com uma serie de inovações pensadas para proporcionar uma melhor experiencia e conforto aos hóspedes. A decoração das zonas sociais representa com conforto e estilo o luxo de uma casa Senhorial. O pormenor das fotografias de família nessas mesmas áreas recria uma atmosfera familiar que nos faz sentir como se fossemos convidados Os quartos situados Paço são muito bons em termos de área e de conforto. As camas, as almofadas e os lençois são de grande qualidade e proporcionam conforto. O Paço/hotel está sobre elevado ao Rio Lima que se vislumbra em baixo, proporcionando vistas espetaculares. A piscina exterior é de boa/grande dimensão e proporciona a possibilidade de dar umas vigorosas braçadas. O tratamento da mesma é à base de sal o que dispensa o cloro. As janelas de guilhotina e as portas do exterior têm vidros duplos mas o revestimento é em madeira o que dá maior autenticidade a todo a recuperação feita. A cozinha que serve os pequenos almoços e os ocasionais jantares a pedido dos hóspedes parece um laboratório. Jantámos por 20 euros, uma sopa e um arroz de pato divinais acompanhados de uma excelente mousse de chocolate. O pequeno almoço delicioso com os croissants mais estaladiços. Há uma eco pista perto da do Paço que nos pode levar a Ponte de lima ou ainda mais longe. Faltaram bicicletas. Jardins lindos com fontes e canais de água. Serviço fantástico e muito profissional de todos. A voltar.

A family house turned into a lovely, spacious and quiet hotel. We spent a full week of a perfect holiday in a place midway between the ocean (20-25 min drive) and the parque nacionale. It is a place one hopes to return to. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Estada maravilhosa. Voltamos no tempo, excelente quarto, espaço incrível nos jardins, muito bom gosto na recuperação da adega, que teve como preocupação a preservação das características originais. Entretanto, o que mais nos agradou foi o atendimento excepcional, o melhor da nossa viagem de 29 dias por Portugal. Especialmente por parte do Gerente Miguel, eficiente, amável e sempre presente. Teremos eternas recordações do Hotel. Nélio e Nadja Marques da Silva.

luxury and history

Stunning buildings and furniture. Huge bed room with massive marble bathroom. The best room we have yet stayed in Portugal. Staff were friendly and informative. The food, especially the light evening meal prepared especially for us was superb. Cant rate highly enough. Grounds are part way though a significant renovation and will be a match for the house when complete.

Lovely place to stay, really quiet and lovely

The hotel is located in a village not too far from the Ponte de lima town. Its a really quiet and quaint place but a beautiful place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff are absolutely lovely and are ready to assist where possible. Especially George who was very helpful and assisted and guided us to get to around to places we wanted to visit. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the surrounding were rural and very nice.
