“Centrally located in Road Town whether you're a visitor or a local needing to overnight in Tortola, I would strongly recommend. You can easily walk to the banks, restaurants and easy to get a taxi. Within walking distance to the ferry dock to Virgin Gorda and St. Thomas. For breakfast there are several options. One of my favorites is the Breakfast Sammy.”

“This hotel is a hidden gem! The lady at the front desk was a jewel! I called her 3x before we even arrived to ask her questions about early checkin and leaving our bags with her before we could checkin. She was so pleasant and helpful. “This was an excellent place to stay! Great view from balcony, beach only a few steps away. Restaurant & bar on site & food was excellent. Different menu choices every day! Drinks were wonderful & staff was so wonderfully kind & enjoyable to talk to! ”

“We spent one night here prior to our yacht rental began and wished we hadn’t. The room was very basic and frankly nasty. Sugar ants everywhere, crappy towels, restaurant on the dock overpriced and very average as far as the food. At $355 per night we expected better. ”

“The manager Ashur was most helpful and responsive. They responded to minor issues promptly. We loved the large space and stunning view. The bed was super comfy. The kitchen had plenty of equipment. Would highly recommend. One suggestion - add a sofa bed for additional guests. Note: there is a single hideaway bed. ”

“Everyone and everything was great. The food not so much. Room service was a crap shoot. Sometimes food showed up hot. Other times it was 2 hours and not hot. Breakfast and the service was always good. Dinner wasn’t. No coffee shop no ice cream. It’s a 35dollar cab ride one way to Roadtown. However we’d go back. The pool was beautiful. The beach amazing. Quiet. Warm water.”

“Sugar Mill was beyond my expectations. They have the friendliest staff and fantastic food. We were two couples who rented two King size bedrooms with ocean views. Some notable staff were Jean our dinner waitress. She was so lovely and helpful with her suggestions, Destiny, and Estephany were pleasant as well. At the beach bar Carlos our bartender was the man!! “The property needs to be modernized and upkept better”

“Great ocean view rooms with incredible decks on the water. Food was top notch for all meals and the beach is gorgeous with first class cabanas. Some negatives: the pool, gym and pickleball / tennis courts are across a small road. Not a huge deal but not ideal. Lots of mosquitos poolside so be careful. But the biggest negative is that the ocean is not swim-able due to huge rocks in the water. I saw zero people in the ocean over my 3 day stay. Zero! Maybe with some water shoes it could be done...

It's a small island with everything; beach, spa, water sports, boutique, bar with DJ, restaurant, marina, plus a water taxi that takes you to all the other restaurants near by. The staff is friendly and very professional. The rooms are a 5 star level. Highly recommended!”
