My room was pretty good and clean, it's just the smell of cooking from the previous use. But that is to be expected from an extended stay. Just the surrounding area of the hotel by the parking area are scattered feces, so be careful walking at night.

Everything about staying at ESA Hillsboro Portland is ideal for me for pleasure or business. Of which I've done both over the years. Booking the room has always been simple and uncomplicated as is late check-ins. the location is ideal, it's on the bus lines, there's all the major amenities within a mile like several excellent restaurants and major grocery stores, gas stations and a bank. I've had very few problems over the years, when something would come up, the management handled it in an expedient and professional manner without any heartache. the staff is conscientious and attentive and the amenities are stellar! the bed is super comfortable! I love all the pillows. I have traveled from coast to coast and to several foreign countries and I have no problem stating for the record that ESA Hillsboro Portland is by far the best, absolute best value for your dollar!!!

Beds were comfortable and clean.Thats about the only nice thing I can say.........run down, rip down the couch with stuffing coming out. Dirty bathtub, small toilet, bathroom door does not open all the way, sink missing the stopper, kitchen no nothing in it, windows so dirty you can't see out........

No-one was at the front desk to help. When they did arrive, they did nto acknowledge we were there. After a 20 minute wait, they finally asked if we had been helped, knowing full well we had not. The vending machines did nto work and the ice machine was broken. The room was clean and the cable worked. When we needed sheets, getting someone to repond at the desk was very challenging. If the office is going to be set to the side out of sight, please put a buzzer or bell for the customer to ring to receive service.

location was good. The people staying/living there were very loud all night long. room was very worn out and kind of dirty, guest phone did not work and toilet stopped flushing. I only stayed 2 nights but paid for 3 nights.I want my money back for the for the 3rd night. The place is disgusting and scary at night. The hotel had a person overdose the morning I checked out.
