The staff was wonderful. The rooms were adequate but not elaborate by any means. The neighborhood was somewhat seedy. Many dispensaries.A hospital nearby but nothing for a tourist.

Enchanting building and good facilities and services with an amazing staff... but the area around is very ugly and huge amount of illegal people around, including inside the hotel that make sensation of a non-secure neighborhood

The staff was very friendly, the locale was a 20-minute walk from the action (not the port per se, but the art museum and some restaurants). More than anything, we appreciated their pet policy — dogs stay free! And luckily we didn’t feel like we were shoved into a “pet room” that smelled. Our room was fine, maybe a little tired with the old brown rug and springy mattress, but fine. Love that they had free breakfast as well as cookies/coffee in the afternoon. (Dining area was a little tight during the morning rush, but otherwise good.)

Breakfast was nice, the room was well laid out. I appreciated having a private hall bathroom. Staff were pleasant and helpful. One note: this is very definitely a stair dependent space in case you have mobility needs.

Carpet was very dirty. Didn’t mind sharing a bathroom but it was very dirty and didn’t feel comfortable using it. It was a cheaper option and good for a quick night stay after a concert.

The staff was quite unresponsive and showed no interest in us as guests. As 70 year olds we had to carry our luggage up three flights if difficult stairs and were not made aware of that prior to checking in. We were there four nights and there was no room services/cleaning, fresh towels or anything. Very disappointing. Will not stay there again.
