"This location is in need of a bit of updating. There is only one VERY tiny elevator. Our room was not very clean upon our arrival and the air conditioner stopped working halfway through our stay. The staff working that particular day were very helpful, but other staff members on different occasions were less than kind and even sarcastic. The pool area is the nicest part of this hotel. Overall, I would stay here again but only because it is far better than any of the other options in Portsmouth....

"The only reason we came to Portsmouth was because we have a friend at Shawnee State but if I could never set foot in Portsmouth or anywhere near this hotel again I would. The entire area feels extremely unsafe and is completely run down. The days we stayed half of the parking was roped off so it was impossible to find a parking spot at night which given the lack of safety of the area makes you feel even more unsafe. The only positives to the inside are that the front desk staff are friendly,...
